1 in 6 species, over one million, are currently at risk of extinction. Hippos, a keystone species, have been devastated. We lose between 30,000 to 35,000 elephants EACH YEAR due to climate change. The loss of large mammals in Africa has also created a spike in rodent populations carrying diseases like flus and the bubonic plague to other animals, including humans.
